CRAM AND THE
BAY CITY YACHT CLUB PRESENT:
THE 2011
SAGINAW BAY CHALLENGE!
LOCATION:
Bay City Yacht
Club, 3315 Shady Shores Rd., Bay City Michigan 48708.
CRAM is holding a regatta in the Saginaw Bay with the
help of the Bay City Yacht Club. It’s been 40 years
since CRAM has raced in the Waters of the Saginaw bay,
the water is warm, clear and shallow under 20 feet this
time of the year and should offer a nice venue for our
season finale. We should also be able to secure mark /
chase boats to help out.
The BCYC club house is nice, has a full service bar,
showers and restrooms for our use. The launch area is
well maintained and very easy access for the RC boat. We
are hoping this venue grows into a premier catamaran
event for years to come.
A. Motor Homes, Tents and Pets are welcome. Pets must be
on leash and cleaned up after!
B. $40 BCYC camping fee (for weekend) per, vehicle or
tent.
C. Regular CRAM regatta fee $40 / $50 applicable
D. Hospitality Sat. Eve. In club house, good food great
price
F. Catamarans can be set up at the yacht club or the
Delta sailing school across the canal.
If sailing in and out of the yacht club marina a paddle
could be helpful - the wind is fluky. |
